German Shepherd Handbook ebook by Michael Tapscott. Dear Toby, I am sitting here in front of the computer, a jar of peanut butter open nearby and the bag of pretzels waiting for me to dive my pudgy fingers in for one to dip into the peanut butter. The house is quiet except for the normal odd sounds houses make at midnight. Then it hit me , I looked over at the couch and called your name and your head didn’t pop up. I didn’t hear your tag jingling on your collar as you would saunter from the bedroom. You weren’t laying right by my chair. And I remembered. You are not my dog anymore. You are in the kennel at the place with the other dogs and cats. My hope is that you are laying in your bed with your Lambchop and the t-shirt. That you have been fed, walked and that all is well. I am sure it is different for you, and might be a little scary. You are tough guy though – and I am not worried at all. I trust the people there. They are going to look out for you and you are going to be a good boy for them. Hang in there, Toby, someone will come and find you and you will be in a new home, settling into a new routine, playing out in the grass, and just doing a lot sorts of stuff that you and I could never imagine doing...
